Below are rough synopsis' of the TV episodes for the first season of Max Steel. Thanks to Shade, I have the real titles for the first season and mini-synopsis for the last five eps. As for the second season, ah, we'll see. Since I only started watching the series in the middle of the season, I am not quite sure of the correct chronological order, so I have placed them as best as I could. Finally, I have not yet had the pleasure of seeing all of the episodes, so for now this list will be incomplete.

MAX STEEL Season One:

Sacrifices
Max, his father Jefferson Smith, and a VIP are on a plane when attacked by a heat-seeking missile. Jeff then takes over the controls while Max leaves the plane to lure the missile away, using a flare to distract it so it explodes harmlessly. Later, Jeff scolds him for behaving so dangerously, but Max gets upset, saying it's his job. Max & Rachel then take the VIP for dinner, and we learn that the VIP knew Josh when he was a kid, and that his parents died one after the other before Jeff adopted him. Jeff, who is feeling bad about yelling at Max, goes to their intended destination, Cafe Cafe, where he finds Josh's girlfriend Laura and best friend Pete, but no Josh/Max. Then Psycho comes and kidnaps Jeff, pretending he had a heart attack. Laura and Pete go to tell Josh, who tells them to search all the hospitals. After they go, Josh morphs into Max Steel and goes to the hills where the missile was launched from. Berto tracks him using the Bio-link.
Max is walking on the hill when the ground suddenly gives way and he falls right into an enemy base, losing his connection with Berto. He is able to fend off a few guards before Psycho comes along and knocks him out. Max wakes up in a cell to find Jeff next door. Together they escape from the compound and re-establish communication with Berto. On their way back to the city, they realize that the missile and Jeff's kidnapping were a diversion, and that Psycho is after the Cain Virus which is being taken to a mdeical facility in Del Oro. They head to the facility, where Laura happens to be. Psycho steals the Cain Virus canister just before Max and Jeff arrive and attack. Psycho tosses the canister over the side of the building, but Jeff swoops down and is able to retrieve it. Psycho gets away, but Jeff and Josh reconcile.

Sportsmen
Josh is competeing in the Del Oro Extreme (DOX), an extreme sports competition that he's been training for and anticipating for a very long time. In the middle of the rock climb, which he is winning, there is a sudden storm and bolts of lightening attack the climbers, forcing Josh to use his Max Powers to help the others, trying to keep away from the TV blimp hovering nearby. Josh then decides to drop out of the DOX since he can't hel but use his enhanced powers, and it would feel like cheating. His girlfriend and the N-TEK publicity person are upset. Then Josh/Max learns that the lighting attack was not natural, and someone is trying to put a stop to the DOX. Josh then enters the competition as Max Steel to protect the other competitors.
There is another attack, this time in Del Oro Bay, and the boat that both Laura and Rachel are on is hit. Max must rescue two of the competitors before rescuing them, saving Laura just before she is hit. Max makes a good impression on his alter ego's girlfriend. Unfortunately, Laura catches Josh with Rachel at his place, and thinks something is going on between them. Even at the face of danger, the DOX competitors decide to push forward, and so there is another event and another attack. This time they realize it's the blimp, piloted by former champion Woody Bartowski, that is responsible for the lightning attacks. Max confronts him and his sister, who invented the "Telebolt". Woody accuses N-TEK of giving him a faulty bike, causing him to have an accident and get hurt so he couldn't compete again. So he decided to put N-TEK out of business. But Max captures him and his sister, and the DOX resumes with no more threat. Josh also makes up with Laura, who thinks that Max Steel is a "hotty". Josh is dumbstruck.

Seraphim
Max is in China trying to break into CyberDragon's headquarters, owned by a man named Chang, to steal a disk called Seraph, which contains dangerous technology. Without using his Max Powers he breaks into the place and gets into the vault, but then trips an alarm and must escape. He, Rachel and Chang's girlfriend Sonia, an undercover agent, then make plans the retrieve the disk. But then Max remembers an obligation to Laura, and morphs back into Josh to attend her brother's wedding rehearsal. He promises Laura he won't arrive late to the wedding. The next day, Max, in a suit, goes to Chang's ship as a courier for Senior Martinez (Berto) for an auction of the Seraph. Dread is also part of the auction, and his courier is Dragonelle.
Once on the ship, Max uses stealth mode to sneak into the vault to get the disk. Meanwhile Berto, Dread and another make bids for the Seraph. Berto unwittingly wins, and tells Max to get back to his room asap. Max makes it just in time, as Chang and his guards arrive to take him to get the disk. But then they realize that the transfer of money was fake, so they toss Max overboard. They didn't realize that he'd stolen the real disk and replaced it with a fake. On the docks nearby, Rachel is waiting to get the disk, but then is snatched by Dragonelle, who had been posing as Sonia in disguise. Dragonelle then poses as Rachel to fool Max (who is indeed fooled), but then Chang comes along and attacks before she can get the disk. Max uses his powers to fight them, while Rachel escapes from her captors. Once Chang is chased off, Max turns to see two Rachels, and the real one tells him to destroy the disk, which he does. Dragonelle then escapes, and Max highttails it to the wedding.

Snowblind
Max, in one of the air jets, is on his way north for a vacation with Pete & Laura and speaks to Berto, who is supposed to be on vacation. He passes the snowy slopes where Laura & Pete are snowboarding, in time to see Pete falter and fall over the edge of a cliff, clinging to a branch. Josh then arrives to help pull him back up. They go to the lodge, where Josh & Laura are about to get romantic when Pete interrupts to invite them skidooing. So they go, and Josh sees none other than Psycho on the slopes. He loses Pete & Laura and goes after Psycho, with help from Berto, who still hasn't left for vacation yet. Psycho leads Max to an ice cave. It seems that Dread sent Psycho to retrieve something called Infinity Ice, a liquid that instantly freezes things. Before Max can find Psycho, though, Pete and Laura happen upon the cave and he must morph back into Josh to go to them.
They are about to leave the cave when there is a cave-in and they must run through the tunnels to escape. Berto guides them, much to Josh's surprise as he didn't think satellite's could penetrate ice caves. But then Josh falls down a hole in the ground and lands in a glass tube right in Psycho's lair. He morphs back into Max, and is about to go into Turbo Mode when he is hit by Infinity Ice. He freezes. Psycho then goes after Pete & Laura, but Dread makes him get his priorities straight. Max, because he had gone into Turbo Mode before freezing, is able to escape, but with low power. He finds and fights Psycho, then morphs back into Josh to retrieve his friends and escape the cave. Just as they're skidooing away, there is an avalanche. Laura & Pete escape, and Josh escapes into the air jet. He heads back to Del Oro, realizing that it was Dread he's been talking to all along and not Berto. He keeps Dread's goons from releasing the Infinity Ice in Del Oro, just as his power level reaches zero. Later, back to full power after a shot of T-juice, Josh is back at the lodge with Laura, who was worried about him. They are about to get all mushy again when Jeff arrives, and he & Josh talk. They realize that now Dread knows about Josh's secret identity. Fortunately, Berto has made sure Dread will no longer be able to use the Bio-link.

Sharks
Woody and his sister, Anabel, attack with the Telebolt again, and Max & Rachel must stop them. Before they do, the lightning bolts hit a ship carrying pleutonium and makes it sink. After Woody & Anabel are captured, Max & Rachel are commissioned to take a minisub down to retrieve the pleutomium. Max seems reluctant but goes. On their way to the sunken ship, Rachel asks him what's wrong, and Max tells her how, when he was about a year or two old, he & his parents were on their boat, the Joshua, when it was sunk by a storm. His mother was killed. They reach the sunken ship and discover that it was shot down, not struck by lightning. Then a big sub, the Akina, comes and attacks. Max & Rachel are able to escape. When the Akina goes back to the sunken ship, Max suits up in dive gear and goes to retrieve the pleutonium.
Inside the sunken ship, Max finds the pleutonium, just as Letranger comes and steals it from him. Max goes after him, but Letranger escapes, and Max is rammed by the Akina . Rachel goes to retrieve Max, who is very upset, maybe a case of diver's dimentia. They go after the Akina at full speed. Sensors detect a ship, but it turns out to be the Joshua. Max gets upset and punches the sonar equipment. Rachel tries to calm Max down. He says it's his fault the Akina escaped, and also his fault his mother drowned. Rachel then kisses him to make him feel better. They go after the Akina and find it. Max goes back out and enters the enemy ship, fighting Letranger and retrieving the pleutonium. After the mission, Josh is home, where Laura is waiting on him. He says he doesn't deserve her (thinking about that kiss). Josh then gets a call from Jeff, and says he misses his mother, but that his demons are gone.

Sphinxes
At a dig in Egypt, something is lurking beneath one of the pyramids. N-TEK sensors pick up strange energy readings under the pyramid, so they send Max and Rachel to investigate. Max doesn't mind missing class. The two of them are snippy at one another, and Berto suggests they talk about the kiss they shared, but both Max & Rachel refuse. They arrive to find Dr. ??, who thinks they are just extra diggers. That night, Max & Rachel sneak into the pyramid and trip pretty much every booby trap in the place. Max is shot by a dart of something, but doesn't seem affected at first. They arrive in the main chamber to find Dr. ??, who claims there is something down there. Then three large statues come to life (a Mummy, a Dog, and a Beast) and attack. Max then starts feeling odd. They manage to escape for the time being though. Rachel then notices Max looking ill, and Berto reports that Max is reading normal - as in human. Then the statues attack again. Max goes into Turbo Mode, but it doesn't last long, and Rachel must jump in to help.
As Max loses his powers, the Bio-link goes down. They manage to escape from the monsters again, and run into the room which is the source of the energy readings. There they find Dragonelle, who had been posing as Dr. ??, along with missiles. Dragonelle says the dart she shot at Max contained Dread-probes that ate Max-probes, and would perhaps kill him. Then they notice Berto has entered the pyramid, so Dragonelle sends the Mummy after him. She then sets the missiles to go off, and has the Dog and Beast take Max & Rachel away. The Mummy meets them, and attacks the Dog and Beast, and it turns out to be Berto inside the Mummy. The other two take over the other monsters, and together they return to attack Dragonelle and stop the missiles. Berto cannot stop the countdown, but he manages to change the target to the pyramid. They escape just as the whole place blows. Later, on their way home, Max & Rachel talk, and he says the kiss meant something, but that he wants to make things work with Laura. Rachel seems unhurt.

Sabres
Josh drops Laura off after a study date, and is feeling guilty about kissing Rachel. He admits this to Pete, who warns him not to hurt Laura, and tells him he must choose between the two women. Meanwhile the N-TEK space station, Saber, has been knocked out of orbit and is heading for earth, so they must send up a ship to repair it. Max and agent Jake Neize are chosen to take up the Phoenix. Max notices that Rachel and Ness are familiar with one another, and suspects a relationship between them. The two men then board the Phoenix, which is equipped with nanotechnology, and fly up to the station. They are attacked on their way by another ship, and are able to destroy it (they only meant to knock it out). They enter the space station to find Psycho and a new villain called Vitriole who channels energy blasts through his arms. Max & Jake manage to escape and lock themselves into a room.
Vitriole then heads to the control room to mess with the station while Psycho goes out into space and heads for the Phoenix. Max realizes the whole thing was a diversion so Psycho could get the Phoenix and the nanotechnology it contains. Jake goes out after him and manages to get the Phoenix first, firing up the engines to shoot Psycho off into space. Inside the station, Max confronts Vitriole and they fight. Max manages to knock out Vitriole by using his own power against him, then changes the path of Saber so it lands in the ocean. He escapes into the Phoenix just in time, and he and Ness return to earth safely. After Max turns his Bio-link off, Jake tells his that he & Rachel used to date, but she dumped him around the time she started training Max. Hmmm...

OK, now, I can't remember these eps, so I don't know what order to place them in...(notice the "s" theme!)

Strangers
Max's partner Rachel is among a group of people abducted from an anti-terrorist meeting at the Reichstag in Berlin.

Swashbucklers
Josh and Laura's Spring Break vacation in Baja turns into a Max Steel adventure, as they encounter pirates with an earthquake machine.

Spear Carriers
Team Steel's new mobile base of operations, the Behemoth, is hijacked with 'Berto trapped inside.

Scions
Trapped by a volcano, Max has flashbacks to an adventure had by his late father.

Shattered
N-Tek has a climactic showdown with the forces of DREAD.

Team Steel is shut down as far as the secret agent business goes, but Team Steal extreme sports is in business. Josh must refrain from being Max as much as possible because it takes up too much T-juice, and Berto's little nano-probe refueler can only do so much. Josh, Berto and Cat decide to band together and form an extreme sports team, with Josh making a comeback. They enter a competition, and Josh meets up with an old pal who seems to be very financially successful. Actually, it turns out he is being paid handsomely to smuggle drugs. Josh goes undercover as Max to try to infiltrate the operation, but the boss guy wants him dead. Josh's pal is ordered to 'get rid of' Max, but as it turns out, Max was able to convince Pal (I forget his name) to turn back to the side of good. Max stops the operation, after almost getting killed for lack of T-juice, but the boss gets away. As a matter of fact, the boss turns out to be Psycho, which might explain why he wanted Max dead.

Max and another extreme athlete anmed Ethan are trapped in a cave under an avalanche, and Cat, Berto, and Ethan's teammate must rescue them.
